Caroline studied at the Corcoran Gallery School of Art in Washington DC under their famous war artist Brockie Stevenson. Later attending master classes in painting and drawing at The Slade School of Art in London. She works in oils, watercolours and egg tempera;

She has been an en plein air painter for most of her life, travelling all over the Middle East, India and Myanmar. She is a member of @londonpleinairgroup  Chelsea Art Society & The  Fulham Art Society

In 2003 she took up Icon Writing, studying gilding & Icon techniques in Russia, St Catherines Monastery Sinai, the Prince’s Schools and with Dr. Christabel Anderson at The Queens Galleries. But in 2020 returned mostly to full time oil painting.

She has exhibited at the RA 1997/1998/2005(2 pics)

2011 she won the Sunday Telegraph Watercolour Competition.  2018 she won the Agnes Reeve Memorial prize for best painting  of London at the CAS Society (w/c)
